PS Quick Fix: Sharpen Up

Ever had an image that you just love but it just a touch soft?

And you have tried to sharpen it up in photoshop but it just doesn’t look right…

Well here is a quick and easy way to fix these images without looking over sharpened.

1. Duplicate the layer (Control-J PC or Command J Mac)

2. Click on the top layer, this is the layer we want to work with. Then go up to Filter > Other > High Pass.

3. This will now open a dialog box, use the slider to adjust the High Pass. Just adjust this until the eyes or your subjects are just starting to show up.

4. Once you have that set click OK, you will now have a mostly gray outline of your image. In the Layers tab, change the top layer form normal mode to overlay.

Now you should see your fixed image.
